Nizhmel is another constructed language of mine. It started as a kind of oligosynthetic language. That is, a language that uses a very limited number of morphemes.
One challenge with having relatively few morphemes is that many of them will be highly polysemous. To reduce ambiguity, people might start using compounds, made up of two or more morphemes. Many common words in Nizhmel are therefore compounds - they are made up of at least two morphemes - that at least originally could be used as independent words.
